Altar Live is an online platform designed for faith communities to host interactive and engaging events and services. Our simple, intuitive platform gathers your people together online where they can worship together in watch parties, freely socialize at virtual tables together, and find private places to pray with each other.
Altar is a cloud-based platform that wraps your live stream feed and can seamlessly host video-conference sessions simultaneously.
Participating in an event. People can watch an event with one-click on a browser on their laptop or mobile, or via the Altar app. Anyone can join an event or service. People online can choose to just watch, or interact with other members through chat or video watch parties. After the event ends, members transition seamlessly into the social lobby to mix and mingle with each other at virtual tables. Joining a table takes users into a private video conference session where they can talk and see each other. Users can easily leave a table and join others.
Hosting and managing an event. During the event creation, you can designate people to be on the hospitality team. A host can start the livestream and change the status from live event to lobby. The hospitality team sends messages to anonymous users as well as logged in members. They can also manage members by assigning individual members to a table, or removing members from a table or an event.
Creating events & meetings. On Altar you can create recurring events, like your weekly service, or one-time events like a mid-week devotional. Anyone can be given permissions to create or edits events. To connect your live stream feed, all you have to do is connect a static RTMP feed, upload a pre-recorded video file, or connect a streaming provider via HLS/.m3u8 link.
